Event 9 the $250+$30 Deepest Stack NLH has come to an end and when the smoke cleared it was Nick Pupillo in the winners circle. Pupillo bested a field of 860 entries to earn his first Borgata Poker Open title.
There was no shortage of excitement throughout and especially at the final table. It seemed that any vicious beat that could happen did happen as there were countless painful river cards. When three handed play began Edgardo Figueroa was all in holding against the of Pupillo.
Fortunately for Pupillo there was a ten on the flop and he would enter heads up play against Keith Karch with just a slight chip deficit. It didn’t take long before there was there was fireworks when both players made two pair on the turn. Pupillo improved to a full house on the river to seal the deal and Karch was eliminated just a few hands later.
Pupillo is having a Borgata Spring Poker Open to remember. He started it off with a runner up finish in Event 2 eventually falling to Henry Edmondson but earning over $27,000. He was able to do one better here tonight taking home $47,969 and his first BSPO title bringing his live career earnings over the $860,000 mark.
