Jack Duong held a massive chip lead when heads-up play began and it didn’t take long for him to collect the last of Ari Engel’s chips. He’ll collect $49,974 for his win in this event.
Jack is quite an accomplished tournament player. He’s only 27 years old and in the few years he’s been playing poker, he’s accumulated more than $1.5 million in reported tournament earnings and a World Series of Poker bracelet. “I’ve always wanted one of these,” he said, hoisting the Borgata Hotel replica Spring Poker Open trophy.
Despite his serious list of poker accolades, he was not the most experienced at this final table. Three of the other five players have more tournament earnings than he does! Despite facing a stacked final table, Jack prevailed, winning his first Borgata Open trophy.
Now he has another title to add to his list — but he’s not finished. He’s going to buy-in to the Super Knock-Out Bounty event that started at 4pm and hope to continue his run-good.
