$540+$60 Deep Stack NLH
$1 Million Guaranteed
End of Level 17: Blinds 2500/5000/5000 BB Ante
1D Entries: 784
Average Chips: 161,000
The chip lead for flight 1D came down to a single pot in the last few hands of the level as players prepared to bag and tag.
On table 2, Luan Kadriovski opened and was flatted by big stack Douglas McClellan. Each started the hand near 300,000, with Douglas covering Luan by a few blinds.
On a board, the action went cbet/call. The turned brought in hand-changing equity for Luan, and he found a 65,000 bet on the turn, supported by the nut flush draw and a gutter.
However, McClellan now made a move to claim the pot, and jammed all in for his remaining 270,000 or so. Kadriovksi, his day’s work on the line, found a call, and the rivered was good for a 626,000 pot – McClellan had shoved with possibly as a daring protection merge to fold out exactly the kind of hand Luan chose not to relinquish.
McClellan, who had been big stacked all day, was left with dust, ultimately bagging for about seven blinds. Kadriovski, on the other hand, eclipses two rising 500,000 stacks for the lead.
Other big stacks and players covered:
Anthony Perotta – 493,000
Robert Nguyen – 351,000
Frank Tavolacci – 348,000
Nicolas Roselli – 349,000
Karthik Sethvraman – 298,000
Collin White – 229,000
Official counts will be posted tomorrow morning.
The final flight for the $1 Million GTD continues tonight.
Day 2 players should return to the Signature Room Friday, April 13 at 12 p.m.
