With the elimination of Daryl Boatwright in third the final two players immediately made a heads-up deal. The chip stacks were nearly even so they agreed to split the remaining prize pool evenly.
They then ran one hand out for the trophy and Maccaroni came out on top to earn his first Borgata Poker Open trophy and $16,894.
Renata Colache put on a dominating performance holding the chip lead for much of the final table play.
She will also take home $16,894 for her runner up finish.
