The Event 7 PLO players have just returned from break and the field is filling up fast. There are plenty of familiar faces scattered throughout the field and a former Borgata PLO champion has just taken his seat.
Gary Kosakowski took down the $400 Borgata Summer Poker Open PLO event. He defeated Anna Antimony heads-up after overcoming a massive chip deficit to take home $10,933 and the miniature Borgata trophy.
Also among the latest Event 7 arrivals in the Signature Room are Mike Dentale, Jason Pardy, Adam Lippert, Larry O’Halloran and Dawn Wilensky just to name a few.
There’s still plenty of time to get in on the action as tournament registration will remain open until the start of Level 9 after the dinner break (Approx. 9:10 PM).

Another break for Pot Limit Omaha and the top of the chip counts have shuffled a bit. They’ve got 15 minutes to take care of non-poker business.
There are only two players with more than 100,000.
- Bryant Postell (Brooklyn, NY)
- David Jones
Bryant Postell now leads with 126,000.
David Jones is second with 107,000.

The Pot Limit Omaha event continues to grow and one of the late entries is Barry Leventhal, defending champion of this event. His attempt to defend his Seniors event title failed, so now he’s in PLO attempting his second title defense of the day.
Perhaps he needs his “Brooklyn” hat, which he is rarely seen without.

PLO players have just returned from their first break and are back in the action.
We’re already had lots of movement on the chips and some big stacks are emerging.
David Jones is the chip leader with ~91,000. He left Florida to come up here to play in the Spring Poker Open!
Borgata regular Adam Lippert drew out on Dawn Wilensky to win a big pot right before the break. He’s up to ~86,000.
Bryant Postell is playing his first-ever PLO tournament and is off to a strong start with ~84,000.

Level 3: Blinds 75/150

The Pot Limit Omaha event in the rear of the Signature Room is the only trophy event today in which registration remains open.
Among these players there are some of the best, including Atlantic City’s own Chris Reslock. With eight WSOP Circuit rings, one WSOP bracelet, and nearly $2 million in tournament earnings, Chris is representing his hometown quite well.
He’s got three Borgata titles, won playing HORSE and PLO (twice) so he should feel right at home in this field.

Anybody wanna play some four-card poker? Pot Limit Omaha/High it is! There is a $20,000 Guarantee on total buy-ins, which is unusual for PLO, so that should help boost the attendance.
Players sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and levels last 30 minutes for the first ten. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 (at least 8:15pm) and levels will increase to 40 minutes starting with Level 11. This is a one-day event, so they’ll play until a winner is determined.
Last year there were 95 entrants and Barry Leventhal took it down, winning $9,676 and his second event of the 2018 BSPO. He’ll be unable to do that again this year, since the two that he won, (Seniors and PLO) are running on the same day! Barry is currently attempting to defend his Seniors title, but if he busts out of that event, I’m sure we’ll see him here in this one.
PLO is underway here in the Signature Room at Borgata!
Spring begins today and you know what that means! The 2019 Borgata Spring Poker Open kicks off in a couple of weeks — now is the time to make your plans to attend. With more than $3.5 million in guarantees and 19 trophy events spread across 18 action-packed days, this series will see some huge fields. Room rates are available starting from $95 — Call 609.317.1000 now to reserve your room!
As always, the series begins with the $1 million guaranteed $540+$60 NLH Deep Stack Kickoff. It begins Tuesday April 2nd at 11am with the first of six starting flights. With unlimited re-entries, this best stack forward event will surely see more than enough entrants to crush the guarantee. Last year, Rafael Reis emerged victorious from the field of 2,370 entrants to take home $216,010 for 1st place, along with his first Borgata Poker title.
All your favorite tournaments will be returning including the Seniors ($25k GTD), Ladies, SixMax ($100k GTD), Almighty Stack ($500k GTD), two Saturday Series $100,000 GTD events, and the $150,000 GTD Black Chip Bounty. For players looking to take a break from No Limit Hold’em, there are three tournaments: Pot Limit Omaha ($20k GTD), Omaha High/Low, and HOSE ($20k GTD). Some changes this year include a $500+$60 Super Survivor with $75,000 Guarantee and another Survivor with a $100 Black Chip Bounty added. Click here for the complete schedule of main events.
Of course the highlight of the series is the $2,500 + $200 Borgata Spring Poker Open NLH Championship, which carries a $1 million guarantee on total buy-ins. One major change is that the two starting days will be Monday & Tuesday (April 15 & 16) instead of Sunday & Monday as in the past. The finale will be Live Streamed on Friday, April 19th.
Last year, Almedin ‘Ali’ Imsirovic took home the Championship trophy and $246,066* after battling his way through a field of 519 entrants. Heads-up with Farid Jattin, Ali battled for a while before opting for an adjusted payout agreement with a nearly even split of remaining prize money.
